Religion column written by Dr. Bob Allen:

I have been seeking the Lord concerning the greatest needs of the church today. What should I be praying about, as well as, what should I be preaching? I sense the Lord saying that the churches, the sons and daughters of God, are under the greatest attack ever from the wicked one.

1John 5:19 John said, “And we know that we are of God (that’s you, the Christian) and the whole world lies in wickedness.” Aren’t you glad to be out of the world system and in the safe hands of the Master? We are definitely set apart from the world and the control and power of the wicked one, but there seems to be no wall or fence that keeps him in his place. So how do we, the children of God, stand tall while under constant attack from him? I notice the Christian families, from the pastors right on down; seem to be in the midst of a battle. I know I have talked to you about this before, but I am very concerned about most of our young people: sitting in the church from the cradle through high school and then walking out as though they have never heard the Word about Jesus preached for all those years. It is as though they are leaving nothing of value, because, to them, they received nothing of value. They seem to have blinders on. Most of them are lacking the power of the Holy Spirit in their lives.

 Prov18:14 “The spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity”. That means his spirit will keep him in anything he goes through. It could be they are getting plenty of church, but little understanding of the Spirit, and power of God in their lives. The Spirit and power of God needs to be deeply rooted in them. Your spirit must be full of the Spirit of God in order to sustain you. Is the Holy Spirit identified to them as God down here?  Do they know the Holy Spirit is the power of God on the earth, here and now for them today, to lead, guide, empower and comfort their lives? They seem to have little or no concept of defending themselves from this wicked one.  I was thinking of a good example that I could use to reveal the work of God, and the work of the devil.  How about love verses jihad?

The Bible tells us that God is love, and we know this is true. The Lord never stops proving his wonderful love to us. The Lord Jesus, hanging on a bloody cross suffering and dying for us; says it all! On the other hand, the Moslems’ god, Allah, is of the wicked one, and he is a god of hate. He has his, so called, sons or followers, cutting off heads, killing, stealing, and destroying. I don’t think that the God that loved us so much that he would wash us in the blood of His own Son, would then turn around and send His followers to cut off people’s heads. There are many nice Moslems, but don’t let that fool you. They are just deceived in a different way, but never-the-less, still on their way to a burning hell. Satan feeds them a little hope in order to keep them fooled. If he were to expose himself to them as the wicked one that he is, his ministry could not stand. The Apostle Paul said this about Satan:

2Cor11:14-15  ^“…. for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light , therefore it is no great thing if his ministers (note that)also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness”,  So, to the nice, deceived Moslems, he is as an angel of light which comes through, the one they call, the prophet Mohammed. He gives them false hope through god Allah who doesn’t even exist. Allah is nothing but a lie. “Hear O Israel: the Lord our God is one Lord”. Deut.6:4. And no part of Him would command the beheading of anyone.

Here Jesus is speaking to the deceived Jews who thought they were right with God:

John8:42-44 Jesus said unto them, “If God were your Father, you would love me, for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of Myself, but He sent Me”.

 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks of his own, for he is a liar and the father of it”. No Jesus, no real God.

I am reminded of what Jesus said to Peter in Lu22:31 ^“And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you that he may sift you as wheat.” Sifting simply means, he wants to beat you and your family down to nothing. We, the children of God, need to get to a place where we say enough is enough. We must learn how to use our God given authority.

Jesus wants you to rise up and fight for your family and loved ones. He said, I give you power (note that) over all the power of the enemy.

Remember friends what Paul said, our fight is not with flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Our fight is against Satan’s forces. My friend if you have never bumped in to the devil it could be because you are traveling in the same direction.Notice, Paul is not even exempt from the fight.

1Thes2:18 Paul said,” Wherefore we would have come unto you even I Paul, once and again, but Satan hindered us.” My friend, don’t think for a minute that he won’t come against you and yours, like he did Paul. He is still a hindrance.

James4:7 James said, ^“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you”.

The Lord Jesus beat the devil as a man by standing against him for forty days in the wilderness, and He beat him on the cross when He broke the power of sin and death for us. The Lord Jesus wants this angel of light, exposed to you as nothing but a liar, and a deceiver. Jesus wants to put fight into you so you will rise up and fight for your family and loved ones; after all He said, I give you power (note that)over all the power of the enemy!

Remember friends what Paul said, our fight is not with flesh and blood, but against Satan’s forces.

In the last few months I have heard from the devil a few times. I learned something through this experience that needs to be shared with you. The first one was over a woman who contacted me through my radio program. She was suffering

From alcoholism. She was full of fear, and needed to know Jesus. This was a real battle. I invited her to the place where we meet on Tuesday nights where we have a good ministry team for healing, deliverance, and counseling; all by the power of the Holy Spirit. This woman was really giving me a hard time. She told me not to bother her anymore. She said, “I don’t trust you and I never want to hear from you again. All of this was being done through e-mail, I said ok.

The Lord then showed me a picture of a hand squeezing her forehead. I knew that is was the hand of the devil; so I made one last effort to contact her by e-mail.  I told her what I saw and if she wanted to be free to go to this certain church on Sunday morning at 10:00 and at the end of the service they always give an alter call, and they can help you.  I heard these words from the devil THIS IS WAR.

Monday morning I got an e-mail saying “Dr. Allen, I listen to you and your son Landon Saturday on your radio program, and I know now that you were only trying to help me. I also went to that Church Sunday and I got set free! I got saved! I got healed and I am doing great!” I finely met her. She is still in church and doing great! Praise the Lord! Trust the Lord Jesus, and keep fighting the good fight.
