Mrs. Freddie Wilbanks Hamrick, age 88, of Jasper, passed away Tuesday night at her daughter’s home in Jasper.  She was born June 17, 1927 to Fred and Ina Wilbanks in Canton, Georgia.

Freddie was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-three years, Gordon Phillip Hamrick, Jr.

She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Phyllis H. and Howard (Peewee) Walker of Jasper, Cheryl H. and Steve Sewell of Jasper; granddaughter, Stacia Walker; great-grandsons, Wesley Roland (Vella), Matthew Mullins (Jessica); great-great-grandchildren, Jonah Foresman, Penny Roland, Maddox Mullins, Jamie Mullins; sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty and Melvin Pitts, Lucy and Don West, Linda and Jon Burch; and sister-in-law, Wava Wilbanks. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

The Funeral Service will be held at 3:30 p.m., Friday, April 22, 2016 at Jasper United Methodist Church with Reverend Greg Meadows, Reverend Max Caylor, and Chaplain Roland Nelson officiating.  Entombment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.

The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to Jasper United Methodist Church Organ Fund.

Arrangements are entrusted to the staff of Roper Funeral Home & Crematory in Jasper, Georgia.
