Tide Rolls, Leaves Panthers Black & Blue

The 63-7 home win by the Alabama Crimson Tide over the Georgia State Panthers last night was not the monkeystomping it could have been. Greg McElroy, who set a Crimson Tide single game record for completion percentage with 92.3 (12/13), threw for 157 yards with two picks and zero interceptions, but was pulled in the second quarter. The Tide pulled most of their starters before the half, and played third and fourth stringers throughout the second half.On the Panthers first possession quarterback Drew Little connected on 55 yard pass to his tight end Emmanuel Ogbuehi; however, he also threw picks to the Bama defense like a barber doing a marketing campaign. He finished with four.

The Panthers scored on a 97 yard kick off return in the second half, and they played hard, but they were simply no match for the number 10 ten team in the nation.
