Mr. Claude William Hawk, age 79, of Jasper, Georgia and formerly of Albany, Georgia, died Saturday, October 1, 2011 at his residence following a period of declining.

Born March 9, 1932 in Morgan County, Georgia, he was the son of the late Leon and Eunice Whitley Hawk. Mr. Hawk was also preceded in death by a Grandson, Brandon Hawk, Sisters, Louise Fambrough, Sue Pearson and Carol Latimer, Brothers, Robert Lee Hawk and Benny Leon Hawk. Mr. Hawk was retired as a Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force after 21 years of service and also had retired after 20 years with the United States Postal Service. Mr. Hawk was a charter member of the Liberty Baptist Church in Albany, Georgia where he served as a Deacon and Minister of Music.

Survivors include, HIS WIFE of 54 YEARS, Mrs. Carol Joyce Hawk, of Jasper, Ga.; DAUGHTER, Brenda K. Putnam, of Acworth, Ga.; SON, William Scott Hawk, of Wetumpka, Ala.; GRANDCHILDREN, Amanda Ledford, of Jasper, Ga.; Bryan Hawk, of Cedar Bluff, Ala.; and Craig Wynn, of Decatur, Ala.; SISTER, Mrs. Mary Daniel, of Rutledge, Ga.; Several Nieces, Nephews and Other Relatives also survive.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 12:00 Noon, Monday, October 3, 2011, at the Liberty Baptist Church in Albany, Georgia, with the remains placed in state at the church at 11:00 a.m., the Rev. Charlie Rouse will officiate, with the interment to follow in Floral Memory Gardens in Albany, Georgia with military graveside rites by the United States Air Force.
