Mrs. Telete Grotefend, age 81 of Jasper, passed away at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta. Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 21 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Thursday 8 a.m. until prior to the funeral hour.

Funeral Services are scheduled for Thursday, December 22 at 2 p.m. at Jasper United Methodist Church with Rev. Chip Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Jasper City Cemetery.

Survivors are son and daughter in law, Scott and Nancy Grotefend, Pratfield, AL; daughter and son-in-law, Christell and Jerry Smith, Acworth, GA; 3 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by husband, Richard Grotefend; parents Telete and Will Richards and brother Will Richards, Jr.
