Mr. Doug Childers, age 51 of Jasper, passed away at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital on Tuesday, January 10, 2012.Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 11 from 5:30 to 10 p.m., Thursday 8 a.m. until 10 p.m., and Friday 8 a.m. until prior to the funeral hour. Funeral Services are scheduled for Friday, January 13 at 2 p.m. at Jerusalem Baptist Church with Revs. James Thompson and Harold Cantrell officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Survivors are the parents, Horace and Bettie Childers, Jasper; Grandmother, Mary Gibson; Jerusalem Community; Brothers and sisters-in-law: Dwight and Debra Childers, Jasper and Roger and Lorie Childers, Jasper; two nieces: Mary Jo Childers and Lane Childers; one nephew, Dylan Childers; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family will accept flowers or donate to a charity of your choice.
