Mr. Howard W. Ray, age 79 of Ball Ground, passed away at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital.Visitation will begin on Tuesday, May 1st from noon until 8 p.m. and Wednesday 8 a.m. until the funeral hour. Funeral Services are scheduled for Wednesday, May 2 at 2 p.m. from the Chapel of Cagle Funeral Home with Bishop Lance Johnson officiating. Local Chapter 47 DAV in charge of Military Rites after the Funeral Service.

Survivors are wife Rebecca Ray, Ball Ground; daughter and son-in-law Jorene and Billy Cleghorn, Calhoun; two grandchildren: Jodi and Jason Frank, Monroe, GA and Jacob Cleghorn, Atlanta. Mr. Ray was preceded in death by his daughter Sherry Poole.
