Mrs. Stella Abernathy, age 94 of Bent Tree, passed away Friday, June 1, 2012, at Canton Nursing Center.

She is survived by sons & daughters-in-law; Ira R. & Jean Abernathy of Copper Hill Tn., John R. Abernathy & Denise Mitchell of Washington, DC., George T. Abernathy, of Venice, Fl., Terry R. Stephens & wife Terry of Douglasville, Ga, daughters & son-in-law; Carol A. & Don Bailey of Ball Ground, Gladys Helfinstine of Lawton, Oklahoma, 15 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren & 2 great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral service was held 11am Monday, June 4, at New Lebanon Presbyterian Church, Bent Tree, with Rev.Dave Fahmer officiating.

The interment followed at Green Lawn Cemetery in Roswell, Ga. The following served as pallbearers; Greg Abernathy, Dale Green, Brett Abernathy, Rob Collett, Cory Green, Addison Green, Cameron Collett & Steve Abernathy.

The family did accept cut flowers, outside potted plants or memorials to New Lebanon Presbyterian Church.
