Mr. James Michael Casey, age 67, of Jasper, Georgia died Friday, November 16, 2012 at the Piedmont Mountainside Hospital in Jasper, Georgia following a period of declining health.

Born June 20, 1945 in Atlanta, Georgia, he was preceded in death by his father, Louis Joseph Casey. Mr. Casey was a United States Army veteran having served during Vietnam, was a market manager with Winn-Dixie Grocery Store and was a member of the New Testament Church.

Survivors include, HIS WIFE OF 41 YEARS, Mary Casey of Jasper, Ga.; DAUGHTERS & SONS-IN-LAW, Stephanie and Irvin Burdett of Talking Rock, Ga.; Renee and Jack Weeks of Conyers, Ga.; GRANDCHILDREN, Casey Burdett, Katie Burdett and Wesley Scarbary; GREAT-GRANDCHILD, Madison Scarbary; HIS MOTHER, Betty Casey of Union City, Ga.; SISTER & BROTHER-IN-LAW, Pat and Keith Behrens of Fayetteville, Ga.; Nephews and other relatives also survive.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Monday, November 19, 2012 at the Roper Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Steve Reeves will officiate with the interment to follow in Lake Forest Memorial Park with military honors by the Pickens County Chapter# 47 DAV. Those serving as pallbearers are, Mr. Irvin Burdett, Mr. Keith Behrens, Mr. Ryan Behrens, Mr. Jack Weeks, Mr. Leslie Scarbary and Mr. Tony Boyd.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home, 12:00 noon until the funeral hour.
