Mr. James Mickey Whaley, age 56 of Jasper, Georgia passed away on Monday, July 22, 2013 at his residence follow a period of declining health.
Born April 12, 1957 in College Park, Georgia, he was preceded in death by his father, James “Red” Whaley. Mr. Whaley had retired after 30 years as a service technician with the Hobart Corporation. He was a member of the Foothills Community Church in Marble Hill, Georgia.
Survivors include HIS WIFE, Nicky Nan Whaley of Jasper, Ga.; DAUGHTERS, Reshell Baldini of Atlanta, Ga.; Shelly Hargis of Acworth, Ga.; Regina Provo of Atlanta, Ga.; GRANDCHILDREN, Kennedy Baldini, Matthew Bryan, Jeffrey Hargis, Eric Hargis, Sarah Hargis, Jesse Hargis, Grace Hargis, Rebekah Hargis and Daniella Provo; GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN, Khalessi Bryan and Mason Hargis; HIS MOTHER, Mrs. Doris Whaley of Molena, Ga.; TWIN SISTER, Vickey Giles and family of Warm Springs, Ga.;NEPHEW, Andrew Sams; NIECE, Anna Sams; GREAT-NEPHEWS, Mykel Hand and Devin Hand; GREAT-NIECE, Ari Hand; He is also survived by many loving friends.
At his request, Mr. Whaley was cremated. A Celebration of Life Services is scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Sunday, July 28, 2013 at the Foothills Community Church in Marble Hill, Pastor Lee Weeks will officiate. A reception will follow immediately after the Memorial Service.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Foothills Community Church, 13724 Hwy. 53 E., Marble Hill, Georgia 30148 or to the Cowboy Church in Jerusalem, 9906 Henderson Mtn. Rd., Fairmount, Georgia 30139.
