Amicalola EMC’s Bright Ideas grant program is a competition designed to reward teachers who take the time to plan, research and put into action a creative learning experience for students. The 2013-2014 school year is the fourth year for the Bright Ideas program at Amicalola EMC. Harmony Elementary was fortunate enough to have several teachers receive one of these grants.

Tammy Boggus, the media specialist, received $600.00 for ReadnQuiz – a computer based quizzing program. Whitney Heath, a first grade teacher, received $820.00 to be used for mini iPads. Sharon Morgan, a first grade teacher, received $875.00 for literacy and math station games and activities including a touchscreen laptop. Stacia Walker, a first grade teacher, received $658.00 for mini iPads.
