Car Fire #2 For 1.30.15

Featured Stories, News

A car fire was still being extinguished when we stopped to ask what happened at around 9:00 Friday night on highway 53 in Jasper Georgia. Directly across the road from the Dollar General firefighters were still working on putting the fire out on a car. I spoke to firefighter Jason Huff. Huff told us they did not know the cause of the fire but were still working on making sure flames were extinguished in a Monte Carlo.

Although they do not know the cause, and I do not think it is related, it is still odd to have two car fires within a couple miles in the same night.

Investigations are pending and perhaps we will know results soon of what caused the fire. It appeared the Monte Carlo had broken windows and a good deal of damage from the fire. It is not believed anyone sustained injuries from the flames. FYN will update when more info is available.
