Nahum 1:9 “What do ye imagine against the Lord?”O God, forgive us for viewing you in our minds in a distorted way. Our imagination causes us to sometime view you as a mad tyrant determined to condemn the world, or as a policeman in the Heavens ready to arrest us when we do wrong, or as a kind old grandfather, rocking in his chair, stroking his beard, patting everyone on the head, smiling and saying, “that will be all right.”

Prompt each one of us to examine our concept of you and see if it is in accord with the revelation of you in your word and in Jesus Christ.
