Joan Bernice Butler, age 79, of Jasper passed away Monday, July 27, 2015 at Sunshine Manor in Jasper.

She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Catherine Zipse of Jasper, Craig Zipse of Jasper, Michael and Holly Zipse of Conroe, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Shari and Spencer Stiles of Guyton, Georgia; sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and George Matthews of Melbourne, Florida; daughter-in-law, Carla Zipse of Jasper; grandchildren, Jennifer Davis, Andrew Bolin, Kristin McGraw, Ashley Bolin, Phillip Zipse, Alice Zipse, Madison Zipse, Alexandra Zipse, Ashyn Zipse; nieces and nephews, Gregg and Kristi and Kurt Matthews; one great niece, Ava McGraw.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 15, 2015 at the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with Colonel Kurt Matthews conducting the service. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 p.m. Following the memorial service, a Celebration of Life will be held at Craig’s house at 423 Hidden Creek Road; Jasper,GA.
