Mrs. Althea Godfrey, age 82, of Jasper passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at the Brookdale Assisted Living Facility in Canton.

She is survived by her children: Mark and Karen Godfrey of Jasper, Stacey & Ronnie Fields of Jasper, Kristie and Scotty Moss of Jasper; grandchildren: Matthew Godfrey, Brittany and Nate Gaddis, Jacob Fields, Jacey Moss, Jackson Moss; great-grandson: Sawyer Hayes Gaddis; sisters and brothers-in-law: Sue and Ceburn Godfrey and Mary and Wesley Cook, all of Jasper. Nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 24, 2015 at Free Hope Baptist Church with Reverend Thomas Wheeler, Reverend Eric Mayo, and Reverend Grant Wade officiating. The interment will follow in the Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will be receiving friends from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Wednesday at Roper Funeral Home and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

The family will accept flowers or those who desire may make contributions to Free Hope Baptist Church.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Staff of Roper Funeral Home.
