Led by Sheriff Donnie Craig, detective from the Pickens Sheriff’s Office, the Jasper Police Department, the Zell Miller Mountain Drug Task Force and Georgia Probation were able to make two arrests in the rash of business burglaries that have been taking place through Pickens County for the past month.

Following multiple leads, interviews, and evidence, Detectives were able to identify Charles Alan Bass and Teledo Tiwan Eady as the main suspects. Following the execution of multiple search warrants, both men have been arrested and charged with multiple counts of Burglary, Criminal Trespass and Criminal Damage to Property.

Items found within the home, along with interview statements, link the pair to burglaries that include H&H Insurance, the Community Thrift Store, Our Lady of the Mountains Catholic Church, Bart’s Bait and Tackle, Hinton Milling, Dan’s Auto Sales and others.

The investigation is continuing through communication with other agencies to determine if other items present at the residence were from additional break ins that may have occurred.

The arrest took place early Tuesday morning and Detectives are still sorting through all of the evidence to return additional items to the victims.
