Ms. Betty Lou Gaskin, age 64, of Ellijay passed away Friday, October 9, 2015 at her home. She was born May 11, 1951 to Joyce and Rufus Kerns in Albany, Georgia.

Ms. Gaskin is survived by her daughter, Melissa Bagby (Raja) of Fort Myers, Florida; sister, Kathy Stanford (Jack) of Raleigh, North Carolina; grandchildren, Andrew Bagby, Alexander Bagby, Ashleigh Bagby, and a special niece, Dawn Trollip. Several other nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Joyce and Rufus Kerns; and brother, William T. Kerns.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Friday, October 23, 2015 at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Cherry Log with Dr. Paul Mims officiating.

Arrangements are entrusted to the staff of Roper Funeral Home & Crematory in Jasper, Georgia.
