Mr. Donald Jerry “Squirrel” Carlan, age 68, of Jasper passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at Sonshine Manor in Jasper.

Mr. Carlan was a member of the Yarrab Shrine Temple, a member of Blaine Lodge #534, and Honorary Past Master of Blaine Lodge #534.

Mr. Carlan is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Aaron and Janie Carlan of Jasper, Joe and Brenda Kay Carlan of Jasper; brothers, Ron Carlan, Tony Carlan; sister, Jan Tate; sister-in-law, Ginny Carlan; grandchildren, James Carlan, Ethan Carlan, and D.J. Carlan. Several nieces, nephews, and other family members also survive.

The Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 13, 2015 at the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with Reverend Max Caylor officiating. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens with a Masonic Graveside Service.

Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 11, 2015; 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 12, 2015; and from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral hour on Friday, November 13, 2015.

The family will accept flowers or donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association in honor of Don.
