Mrs. Lula Prather Little, age 100, of Jasper passed away, Sunday, December 6, 2015, at Heritage Hospice in Marietta, Georgia.

Born in Tate, Georgia on May 9, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Edd Prather and Bertie Ray Prather.  It was enjoyable and amazing to hear her tell of the things she remembered and witnessed during her life time.  Lula was loved, and she will be missed.  She loved Refuge Baptist Church where she was the oldest member.

She is survived by a very special niece and nephew, Rochelle and Lee Hansard of Woodstock and Ted and Sandra Thacker of Roswell; one brother, Ed Prather of Jasper; sisters, Carolyn and Bob O’Neal of Lawrenceville, Barbara Wood of Jasper and Ethelene and Bob Nix of Monroe.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Snyder William Little; son, Billy Little; and beloved sister, Lorene Prather Batson.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 10, 2015 at Refuge Baptist Church with Reverend Larry Johnson and Reverend Carter Payne officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  Pallbearers are Jeremy Chumley, Jody Dowda, Rick Grant, Bob Nix, Bob O’Neal, and James Prather.

The family will be receiving friends from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at Roper Funeral Home.

Arrangements are entrusted to the staff of Roper Funeral Home in Jasper, Georgia.
