State of the Union…Speech

Opinion

Opinion by George McClellan:

This was hopefully, Obama’s very last State of the Union speech. It was exactly what I expected from a failed, narcissistic, pointy headed, one time adjunct professor of constitutional law and talentless community organizer. It was a complete exercise in BS, by a person who believes his own BS, and surrounds himself with like minded advisers who only qualify as “yes” men (or women) for no other reason than to agree with his BS so he feels justified.

To comment further is a waste of time, ink, and effort. What does need to be examined is the GOP response. My God, how awful was that? Nikki Haley, a lovely person I’m sure, permitted herself to be co-opted by the GOP leadership into revealing to the world that she too should not become America’s first female President. (Note to readers: It will not be Hillary either).

Obama’s speech was a veritable treasure trove of lies screaming for rebuttals, outraged catcalls, hisses and even walk-outs by Conservative Republicans not having already fallen asleep in the audience. But, they are told by the leadership they must respect the President, who deserves no respect, because he’s the president. In consequence, we suffered through yet another boring speech by a boring politician. We were unjustly denied the opportunity to express outrage expressed because a fawning press might report the GOP cannot rule because of their incivility. Naturally, the GOP leadership would roll over on its back and agree.

But, back to Nikki Haley. The words she spoke were not hers. They came from the impoverished minds of the elite GOP establishment leaders, Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan. Using their words, she indirectly attacked both Trump and Cruz, as enemies of the political establishment and, OMG, she said the GOP equally shared the blame of Obama’s disfunction in government! Where did that stupid idea originate? The GOP has been told for so long, and so often, that unless they compromise with the leftists, not irritate the illegals, but grant amnesty to border crashers and spend more money on social programs, then they will never be able to hold a seat at the table. Sadly, the GOP actually believe it. That’s where the dysfunction comes from. We definitely need new leadership. The GOP of the 80’s and 90’s can’t be over soon enough.

First thing too, CBS, reported how wonderful Nikki Haley was for the GOP because she’s a woman, a popular governor and she thinks positively. Immediately thereafter, the White House also praised her as an outstanding politician. Those are really a danger flags. In reality, they know she shot herself in the political foot with that speech. What better tactic though, than to foist her with high praise upon an unsuspecting public as just what the GOP needs. The Left is still trying to pick our candidates for us. Neither Trump nor Cruz will pick her.

Imagine the great leap forward for Americanism and the GOP brand, if Trump or Cruz had given the response. The world would have gone crazy. Foreign governments would start rearranging their schedules to greet the new conservative president when he starts his grand tour. He will not go to apologize but set things straight, reassure former allies and threaten our enemies.

Speaking of which, the strange case of the naval Incident in the Persian Gulf, an action the Iranians say was to deliver a message to our Congress: “quite stalling and give us our money.” Well, what’s another humiliation before the world of our armed forces? And Obama didn’t even mention it in his worthless speech. John, the Vietnam vet, Kerry did by praising the Iranians for their good sense. Were in big trouble folks and we have a lot of work to do.

Remember, freedom is the goal, the Constitution is the way. Now,go get ‘em! (13 Jan 2015).
