Pickens County Georgia, February 15, 2016:

Early in the morning today, at around 1:30 am, Pickens County’s 911 center received a call for help at a residence on Lower Dowda Mill Road in
south Pickens County.   Upon responding, deputies found that 4 perpetrators had entered into the home and shot the individual who was home.

The victim, was transported to Kennestone Hospital where she is in surgery with non-life threatening injuries.
Through the initial investigation, Pickens SO detective and Agents for the Georgia Bureau of
Investigation have been able to locate the 4 perpetrators and they have been taken into custody at this
time. It does appear that the victim knew the offenders and was able to assist investigators in identifying
them.

Due to the ongoing investigation into the details, no additional information is available at this time.
