Mrs. Frances L. Carney, age 87, of Nelson passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at Northside Hospital Cherokee in Canton. She was born August 19, 1928 to Sam and Annie Mae McCullough in Greensboro, Georgia.
She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Jim Blankenship of Nelson, Susan and George Armstrong of Tate; grandchildren, Karla Lunsford of Ball Ground, John and Stacie Eubanks of Canton, Sarah and Eric Waldroup of Ball Ground; great-grandchildren, Blake Eubanks of Canton and Taylor Eubanks of Canton. Several other relatives also survive.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 19, 2016 at Nelson Baptist Church with Reverend Steve Chadwick, Reverend Leroy Kelly, and Reverend Grady Cagle officiating. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are Jamie Cochran, Andrew Cochran, A. C. Coleman, Gary Cochran, Jason Kirby, Charles Sinnermon, David Ingram, Richard Hamby, Heath Mitchell, John Eubanks, Eric Waldroup, and Terry Ray.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Thursday and from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Friday at Roper Funeral Home.
The family will accept flowers; or in lieu of flowers, please make donations to Nelson Baptist Church in Frances’ name.
Arrangements are entrusted to the staff of Roper Funeral Home & Crematory in Jasper, Georgia.
