Mr. Gene Tunney McPherson, age 88 of Talking Rock, passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at his residence.

Mr. McPherson is survived by sons: David McPherson of Jasper, Johnny Stephens of Jasper, Tommy McPherson of Jasper, and John McPherson of Ludville Community; daughters and sons-in-law: Shirley & JR Totherow of Ball Ground, Debbie & Tex Byess of Ludville Community, Jean McPherson of Jerusalem Community, Audrey & Donnie Fountain of Jerusalem Community, and Milinda McPherson of Jasper; 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2016 from 5pm until 11 pm, Friday 8am until 11pm and on Saturday from 8am until prior to the funeral hour. The funeral service will be held at 1pm Saturday March 12, 2016 from the chapel of Cagle Funeral Home with Revs. Cody Ray, Bobby McFarland, Stanley Mulkey, and Randy Mulkey officiating. Interment at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery.
