Laverne Johnston, age 65, of Blue Ridge, passed away Monday, April 25, 2016 at her home.

She is survived by her husband, Raymond Johnston, Jr. of Blue Ridge; daughter, Bobbie Dinsmore of Ellijay; sister, Polly Martin of Jasper; brother, Vernon Potts of Ellijay; grandchildren, Philip Dinsmore of Ellijay, Tracy Dinsmore of Canton; and great-granddaughter, McKenah Crawford.

The Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, April 28, 2016 in the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with Reverend Junior Maney officating.  Interment will follow at Lake Forest Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at Roper Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
