John Alvin Bentley, age 60, of Talking Rock, Georgia passed away May 26thbat Piedmont Mountainside Hospital in Jasper.

He is survived by daughters, Jessica Johnson and Carrie Bentley; mother, Joyce Bentley; brother, James Bentley; sister, Patty Bentley; grandchildren, Kimberly Hill and Luke Michael Johnson.  Several other family members also survive.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 27, 2016 at the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Staff of Roper Funeral Home and Crematory in Jasper.
