Mr. Herbert Kenneth Scott passed away on Friday, September 30, 2016 at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital.  He was born in Portland, Georgia to William H. Scott and Clara Parker Scott.  Mr. Scott recently lost his wife of 21 years, Anita Kunkel Granito-Scott.

Mr. Scott is survived by his step-daughters, Deborah Smith of New York and Sharon (George) Habiniak of New York.

The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m., Thursday, October 6, 2016.  A graveside service will follow at Lake Forrest Memorial Park in Jasper.

The family would like to thank dear friends, Yvette (Charles) Leonard, Charlotte Allday, Debbie Mullinax, and Donna Ennis for their care and concern.
