Mr. Bret Short, age 59 of Canton, passed away Monday October 17, 2016 at Northside Hospital Cherokee.

Mr. Short is survived by his parents: Bob & Diana Short of Blairsville; son: Cody Short of Blairsville; daughter: Tyler & Robert Simoneau of Hiram; brohter: Shane Short of Vancouver, Washington; sisters: Diane, Sharon, and Megan and their families; and 2 grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday October 21, 2016 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm. The funeral service will be held at 1:00pm Saturday October 22, 2016 from the chapel of Cagle Funeral Home with Dr. James Farley and Hobie Jones officiating. Interment at Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family requests in lieu of flowers donations may be made to Cagle Funeral Home for the Bret Short memorial fund.
