Sondra Raye Cheshire, age 55, of Jasper passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital in Jasper.  Sondra was born September 29, 1961 to Grady and Jesse Raye in Tate, Georgia.

She is survived by husband, Barry Cheshire; sons and daughters-in-law, Joey and Jessie Cheshire of Free Home, Jamie and Emily Cheshire of Jasper; granddaughter, Emma Cheshire of Free Home; sisters and brothers-in-law, Shirley and Mark Holcomb of Ball Ground, Sylvia and Richard Bruce of Ball Ground; brother, Stephen Raye of Jasper; father-in-law, Raymond Cheshire of Ball Ground; and Godparents, Paul and Addie Kelley of Johns Creek.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by parents, Grady and Jessie Raye and mother-in-law, Frances Cheshire.

The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 29 at Sharp Mountain Baptist Church with Reverend Phillip Burt and Reverend Greg Hamilton officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be at Roper Funeral Home Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.and Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to The Boys and Girls Clubs (PO Box 649; Jasper, GA  30143) or Sharp Mountain Baptist Church.

Arrangements are entrusted to the staff of Roper Funeral Home & Crematory in Jasper, Georgia.
