Valerie Buchanan Burgess, age 50, of Jasper passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital.

She is survived by her daughter, Vallon Burgess of Canton; parents, Lois Ledbetter of Jasper, James & Willene Buchanan of Jasper; grandmother, Minnie Wigington; and life partner, Bob Daubs of Jasper.

The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.

The family requests in lieu of flowers that Memorial Contributions be made to Pickens Animal Rescue at P.O. Box 45; Jasper, GA 30143.
