Six Arrested in Pickens County on suspicion of burglary

Captain Kris Stancil with the Pickens County Sheriff’s office has confirmed the arrest of 6 individuals on suspicion of burglary.
A local patrol noticed unusual activity at Dunn’s convenience store located off Appalachian Hwy 515 in Talking Rock, GA. The officer stopped two people leaving Dunn’s and later four more were apprehended and all six charged with attempted burglary. The arrests were made at approximately midnight Sunday night, January 1st. It is to early to know if there could be a connection with the other burglaries in the area. Stancil said a statement would be released soon.
Several burglaries have occurred in the last few weeks including an armed robbery at the Waffle House where the robber upon discharged the weapon inside the restaurant. There is an ongoing investigation with other agencies involved and more information will be forthcoming.
