Ruby Lee Stirzaker, age 79 of Big Canoe, passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta. She was born September 11, 1937 to Harold and Kathleen Hesketh in Lewistown, Pennsylvania.

Ruby is survived by her husband, John Stirzaker, Jr. of Big Canoe; children, John Stirzaker, III of Marietta, Annette Gossett of Newnan; siblings, William Hesketh of Belleville, Pennsylvania, Kathleen Houser of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Thomas Hesketh of Lewistown, Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Nicole and Michael Edwards of Brookhaven, Lauren Stirzaker of Atlanta, Brittney and Alex Hand of Newnan, Tyler Beal of Newnan, Justin Stirzaker of Marietta; great-granddaughter, Rilynne Beal of Newnan.

A memorial service is being planned for a later date.

Arrangements are entrusted to the staff of Roper Funeral Home & Crematory in Jasper, Georgia.
