Camper fire caused total loss of the structure

PRESS RELEASE – Yesterday around 3:48 PM, Pickens Fire along with Jasper Fire were dispatched to a residential fire on Parker Road.

Additional information during the response was that a camper trailer was on fire and had spread to a home.

Upon arrival of first units, a fifth wheel camper was found fully involved with fire with two structures in danger.

Fire suppression was immediately initiated to contain the fire to the camper and protect exposures. Fire was quickly brought under control and saved structures.

There was minor radiant heat damage to the side home and a parked vehicle. Camper was a total loss. No injuries reported with this incident.

Responding units were Pickens County Fire Engines 11, 20, Tender 20, Med-2, Med-11, 1100, 1101, County Fire Marshal, Bethany-Salem Rehab-8, City Fire Engine-2, 101, City Fire Marshal.
