PICKENS COUNTY, Ga. – Pickens Fire was dispatched to a reported structure fire on Tuesday, March 19, around 3:15 p.m. on Cowart Mountain Road.

The first arriving unit found an RV completely destroyed with fire which had also spread to an outbuilding and into the adjoining wooded area, according to reports.

Firefighters began fire suppression and contained the spreading fire in the woods and then proceeded with complete extinguishment.

There was no one home at the time of the fire and no reported injuries to firefighters.

Responding units were YCFD Engine 90, Pickens Fire Engine 20, Med 2, Engine 51, Med 5, Battalion-11, County Fire Marshal 1 & 2.
