Four Arrested in Pickens County Drug Investigation

PICKENS COUNTY, Ga. — Four people were arrested this week after a narcotics investigation led authorities to a Pickens County home where more than an ounce of methamphetamine was seized, according to the Cherokee Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad (CMANS).
Investigators executed a search warrant on Wednesday, October 1, following multiple community tips and what officials described as a “lengthy investigation.”
Those arrested include:
- Robert Halbert – charged with drug trafficking
- John Green – charged with drug trafficking
- Corey Keeney – charged with possession of methamphetamine
- Tonya Brannon – charged with possession of methamphetamine
The Pickens County Sheriff’s Office said it will continue working with CMANS and other law enforcement agencies to combat illegal drug distribution in the area.
Authorities encourage residents with information about drug activity to submit anonymous tips through Tip411 by texting PSOInfo and their message to 847411.
