Mr. Billy Sams, age 72 of Jasper, passed away at Wellstar-Kennestone Hospital in Marietta on Monday evening, October 31st. Visitation will begin Thursday, November 3 from 5 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. until the funeral hour.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday, November 4 from the Chapel of Cagle Funeral Home with Pastor Lee Weeks officiating. Interment is at Georgia National Cemetery in Cherokee County with Military Honors at 2 p.m.

Survivors are two sons and daughter-in-law: Mark L. Cheek and Dean and Michelle Cheek, all of Stockbridge, GA; daughters and son-in-law: Jeanne Dawson of Austell, GA and Barbara and Jeff Bennett of Dallas, GA.

The family request in lieu of flowers memorials be made to the National Diabetic Association.
