The front 9, was closed so the teams got a little treat in being able to play the back 9, & test their skill with all that it brings. In the end, Pickens & Sonoraville split the match. The PHS Girls, took home the win, 160-181, while the Phoenix got the win in a closely nit battle with the Dragons, 168-172.

The PHS Golf team welcomed the Lumpkin County Indians to Bent Tree yesterday afternoon. Bent Tree is a challenging course for anybody & I’d say all three schools played very well on it considering most hadn’t been to Bent Tree before yesterday.

This past Monday, the PHS Dragons Boys golf team, welcomed the Cherokee High School Boys golf team to Bent Tree for a late season match. This was also a chance for the Boys golf team of PHS to recognize their lone senior the on the team, Jordan VanSant, prior to tee off.
As for the match, it would be a close one as both teams had to deal with the elements as a steady rainfall came down as the groups were trying to finish. After all the scores were tallied, the PHS Boys came away with a 1 stroke victory over Cherokee 180-181 during the rain soaked match.
