Matthew Adam Ellis, age 26 of Talking Rock, Georgia passed away Sunday, June 3, 2018 at his home.

Survivors include his mother and step-father, Sounya and James Stokes of Talking Rock; father and step-mother, Allen and Mary Ann Ellis of Fairmount; sister and brother-in-law, Kim and Eric McNemar of Talking Rock; brother, Allen Ellis of Talking Rock; aunt and uncle, Dan and Jessie Dale of Talking Rock; uncle, Gary Dale of Talking Rock; grandparents, Larry and Judy Long of Talking Rock; nieces, Chloe Ellis, Ericka Ellis, Aaliyah Ellis; nephew, James Ellis; aunts and uncles, Lisa and Raymond Cantrell, Amanda and Stephen Whitlow, Stacey Hamrick; stepbrother, Micheal Ellis of Kingsport, Kentucky. Several other family members also survive.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Morris Dale, Carlin Bradley, Sally Ruby Ellis and sister, Jessica Richards.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with Joseph Hightower and Ronnie Branham officiating. The interment will follow in the Hinton Cemetery.

The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home, Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Staff of Roper Funeral Home and Crematory.
