Coosawattee Swim Meet: June 13, 2013

The Coosawattee River Resort, in Ellijay, hosted a youth swim meet featuring the host team, Torpedoes, the Gilmer Bobcats, and the Pickens Sea Dragons of Pickens of Jasper.
The meet consisted of 86 events, with children from as young as 6 years to old, to those who had reached the ripe old age of 18.
June Phang, of the Pickens County Sea Dragons, finished with the fastest 25 Yard Freestyle time, of 12 point 12 seconds in the Girls 9-10 25 yard Freestyle race.

Kayla Reilly of Pickens County owned the best 50 freestyle time of the day, with a time of 32.81 seconds for a first place finish in the Girls 13-14 50 yard Freestyle race.

The Best 100 Freestyle time, went to Meagan See, also of Pickens County. See saw a first place finish in the Girls 15-18 bracket, with a time of one minute and three point 78 seconds.

The 25 yard Breaststroke best time also went to Phang, as she finished with a time of 20 seconds flat.

David Brown, of the host team, owned the best 50 yard Breaststroke time, with a 34.53 in the boys 15-18 race.

Brown also had the fastest 100 yard individual medley, with a time of one minute and 7 point 65 seconds.

Coosawattee’s Cameron McCaulay finished with the fastest 25 yard Backstroke, with a time of 25.10 in the Boys 9-10 race.

Terry Phang of Pickens picked up the fastest 50 yard backstroke time, finishing with a 31.20 in the Boys 13-14 race.

June Phang also owned the 25 Yard Butterfly time, with an 18.25, and teammate Megan See owned the 50 yard Butterfly fastest finish with a time of 33.47.

The Fastest 100 Yard Freestyle Relay time belonged to the Boys 9-10 team from Gilmer, consisting of Larz Fowler, Clay Ou, Sawyer Hall, and Isaiah Sharp.

Pickens procured the fastest 200 Yard Freestyle Relay time with a 2:07.75 from Victor Lane, Christopher brown, Dane Hales, and Terry Phang.

All three teams will again compete this Thursday June 20th at 6pm, weather permitting.
