The Pickens High School Dragons wrestling team has caught fire, with a multitude of wrestlers winning matches as preparations for both the Area and State Traditional Tournaments take place across the state. Most recently the Dragons competed at several Duals including the Area 8-AAAA Duals. While the Dragons often are short handed at Duals events do to not having enough wrestlers to compete at every individual weight class, the Pickens wrestlers have posted a plethora of wins.

Kolby Milner, Dillon Champion, Kyle Levy, Trevor Dean, Ken Baker, Koby Milner, and Nathan Cheek all managed to win matches at the Area Duals. Dean, Baker, Milner, and Cheek all won matches at the River Ridge Duals as well.

At the Carpet Classic, held at Dalton High School, the several wrestlers placed: Milner (1st); Dean and Stevens (3rd), which bodes well for the upcoming aforementioned Area and State Traditional Tournaments.

The Dragons will next face Cambridge High School, at Cambridge, Wednesday January 15th before attending the Forsyth Central Invitational June 17th and 18th.
