Shots rang out in Jasper just after 4:30 on July 14th.

It seems a case of reckless driving turned into a bout of full blown road rage as a suspect opened fire into a Ford SUV on the southbound lane of 515 in front of the RaceTrac Gas Station. Sgt. Matt Dawkins, who is over the Criminal Investigations Division of the Jasper City Police Department, stated there were three adults and one child inside the SUV.

Despite the shooting, Sgt. Dawkins reports no one inside the SUV sustained any injuries.

The Jasper City Police proceeded with an investigation and already have a suspect in custody. Charged with four counts of Aggravated Assault, Suspect David Massengill also faces other possible charges as the Police continue their investigation.
