PHS Boys Golf Battles Cherokee, Rain To Claim Victory On Senior Night

This past Monday, the PHS Dragons Boys golf team, welcomed the Cherokee High School Boys golf team to Bent Tree for a late season match. This was also a chance for the Boys golf team of PHS to recognize their lone senior the on the team, Jordan VanSant, prior to tee off.

As for the match, it would be a close one as both teams had to deal with the elements as a steady rainfall came down as the groups were trying to finish. After all the scores were tallied, the PHS Boys came away with a 1 stroke victory over Cherokee 180-181 during the rain soaked match. With their final match of the regular season schedule now complete, both the Boys & Girls golf teams of Pickens will now prepare for the Area Tournaments. The Boys will have their practice round on the 23rd, & their tournament on the 24th. Both taking place at Highland Country Club. The Girls, will have their practice round on the 25th, & their tournament on the 26th. They will be competing at Oak Mountain. Good luck to both teams as they compete in their respective Area Tournaments looking to make it to State.
