Eddie Fountain, age 61, of Tate, Georgia, passed away Thursday, April 19, 2018 at his home. He was born April 17, 1957 in Tate to Joe and Carolyn Fountain.

He is survived by his wife, Lynn Fountain of Tate; son, Daniel Fountain and Cali China of Atlanta; daughter, Christie Parker and Chris Hatfield of Jasper; mother, Carolyn Malloy of Fairmount; brother, David Fountain of Fairmount; sister, Lisa Johnson of Calhoun; grandchildren, Taylor Parker, Brant Stanfield, Weston Hatfield; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Jack and Sue Pendley of Tate; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Mark and Tracey Pendley of Tate; nieces, nephews, and other family members; special friends, Jim Fields, Peggy Allen, Ricky Jackson, and Judy Mosley.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Fountain.

A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 a.m., Sunday, April 22, 2018 in the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with Reverend Gerald Young officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Roper Funeral Home.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
