Roads in Pickens County are causing difficulties, according to the Pickens County Sheriff’s Department.
“Several state routes have caused difficulties where cars could not pass,” said Kris Stansel, public information officer for the department.
Other roads that are icy or slushy include Highway 108 near Bethany Road and Ga. Hwy. 53 near Tate. Cove Road is also described as bad.
The National Weather service said to expect snow before 1 p.m., then ran and snow showers in the afternoon. After 4 p.m., there will be rain showers after 4 p.m. Total snow accumulation could be between three and five inches.
Tonight it will be mostly cloudy with a low around 28-degress.
Sunday will be mostly sunny with a high near 52-degrees.
