Last Tuesday, The Nettes varsity basketball team traveled to Gilmer High School to take on the host team, the Gilmer Lady Cats, in the final game of the Thanksgiving tournament. With a win, the Nettes would get a piece of the tournament title. A win for the Lady Cats, would give them the title outright.

The Nettes offense continued to struggle to find consistent offense as the Lady Cats would stretch out their lead to 19, 32-13 as we hit halftime. The 3rd quarter would be a different story as the Nettes outscored the Lady Cats 24-13 to cut the lead to 45-37 as we headed to the 4th quarter. Gilmer closed it out in the 4th as they outscored Pickens 16-10 to win the game 61-47 and to win the tournament.
