Mr. E. Warren Wood, Jr., age 76 of Jasper, Georgia passed away Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital in Jasper, Georgia.

Born June 21, 1942 in Dublin, Georgia, he was the son of the late Elmer Warren Wood, Sr. and Ruby Louise Willford Wood. Warren was also preceded in death by his daughter, Dawn Wood and his brother, Ephriam Jesse Wood.

Warren was an admired confidante, professional cosmetologist, instructor, and business entrepreneur in Buckhead and Atlanta for 58 years. He was associated with Jheri Redding, Sam Orr, Vidal Sassoon and other greats in the cosmetology industry. He resided in North Georgia for 28 years. Warren was a Georgia National Guard Veteran and a long time volunteer at Georgia National Cemetery and a member of the Red Bluff Baptist Church in Soperton, Georgia.

Survivors include his wife, Lauri Shaw-Wood of Jasper; previous wife, Mary Frances Wood of Atlanta; daughter, Scout Modder (Josh) of Williamsburg, VA; sons, Warren A. Wood (Tammy) of Orlando, FL; Jason Wood of Atlanta; Levi Wood of Suwanee, GA; grandchildren, Ashley Wood and Ruby Evelyn Modder; dear friend, Burt Hodges of Soperton, GA. A host of business acquaintances and friends also survive.

At his request, Warren was cremated and a graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Monday, September 10, 2018 at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia. Reverend Bill Frazier will officiate.
