I feel students’ total welfare including academic, social, and safety needs must be of first importance over State and national politics. If school is to proceed as “normal”, then at the very least there needs to be mandated masks, smaller or staggered class schedules, thorough cleaning of rooms, etc. Then, there is the health and safety of the school staff from teachers to bus drivers. Blindly going ahead as if Coved 19 will just go away is foolish.
