Dragons celebrate Senior Night with series sweep

Jasper, Ga — It was a special night for the Pickens Dragons as they honored four Seniors on Friday, March 28th for Senior Night. Sam Hammontree, Dawson Holland, Coleman Keener, and Cade Sutton were all in the starting 9 as the Dragons took on the Johnson Knights in the series finale. The Dragons, would take game three, 11-1 in five innings for the series sweep.

A welcomed sight for the Dragons in the top of the first as starting pitcher Dylan Walls, made his season debut. Walls, would work around a 2-out walk as he struck out two and forced a fly out in his lone inning of work. In the bottom of the inning, Cade Sutton, would look to get something started after being hit with a pitch with 2-outs. The Knights, would get out of the first with no harm done. Heading to the second, Pickens and Johnson were tied at 0.

Christian Starks, would come on in relief of Walls in the top of the second. Starks, would strikeout the side on 14 pitches to send it to the bottom of the second. In the bottom half of the frame, Dawson Lowit, would reach with a lead off single. His courtesy runner, Zach Williams, would advance to 2nd after a balk was called. After a ground out, Williams, would steal 3rd. Sam Hammontree, would bring in Williams with an RBI single to make it 1-0.

Ezra Faber, would then draw a walk to put runners at 1st and 2nd with 1-out. Coleman Keener, would then drive in both Hammontree and Faber with a 2-RBI double. A.J. Rice, would follow that up with an RBI double that scored Keener to make it 4-0 Dragons heading to the third.

Starks, would work a scoreless top of the third with a pair of strikeouts and a ground out to send it to the bottom of the inning. In the bottom of the third, the Dragons, would go down in order with a pair of ground outs and a pop out to send it to the fourth with the Dragons leading it, 4-0.

In the top of the fourth, Starks, in his third inning of relief, worked around a 1-out walk to pick up a pair of strikeouts and a ground out to send it to the bottom of the inning. Hammontree, would lead off the bottom of the fourth with a double. After a line out, Hammontree would steal 3rd. After a strikeout, Rice, would reach on an infield single that would score Hammontree to make it 5-0.

A single by Starks, would move Rice all the way to 3rd. Starks, would then advance into scoring position after stealing 2nd. Rice, would come in to score after a wild pitch. Starks, would advance to 3rd on the play. Sutton, would then draw a walk to put runners at 1st and 3rd with 2-out. Sutton and Starks, would then pull off a double steal as Sutton would swipe 2nd, and Starks would steal home. Sutton, would advance to 3rd after the throw home got by the catcher.

Kam Jenkins, would then drive in Sutton with an RBI single to make it 8-0 Dragons heading to the fifth.

Daven Abernathy, would come on in relief of Starks in the top of the fifth. After a pair of strikeouts, the Knights, would load the bases with a pair of singles and a walk. Alex Alvarez, would reach on an error that would score Felipi Delgado to make it 8-1. Abernathy, would limit the damage to just the one run as he forced a fly out to send it to the bottom of the fifth.

In the bottom of the inning, Matthew Davis, who came on a replacement for Dawson Holland, would draw a lead off walk to reach base. Davis, would then advance into scoring position by stealing 2nd. Caden Kirchoff, would draw a walk to put runners at 1st and 2nd with nobody out. Faber, would reach on a fielder’s choice as Kirchoff would be forced out at 2nd.

Faber, would then steal 2nd to put runners at 2nd and 3rd with 1-out. An RBI ground out by Jennings Allen, would bring in Davis to make it 9-1. Rice, would then drive in Faber with an RBI double to make it 10-1 Dragons. Rice, would then steal 3rd to move up a base. Starks, would then reach on an infield single as Rice would come in to score to give the Dragons the 11-1 victory.

Dragons shut out Knights to win series

Gainesville, Ga — The Pickens Dragons, made the trip over to Gainesville on Thursday, March 27th to take on the Johnson Knights in game two of their three game region series. The Dragons, who took game one on Tuesday, 15-0 in three innings, were looking to pick up the series win and keep pace at the top of the region standings. The Dragons, did just that as the bats were alive and the pitching was spectacular as they came away with a 17-0 win in three innings.

Christian Starks, would reach base on an error with 1-out. Starks, would come around to score on an error to make it 1-0 Dragons early. Kam Jenkins, would keep the inning going with a single. He would make it all the way to 3rd on an error. Dawson Lowit, would knock in Jenkins with an RBI single to make it 2-0 Dragons. Zach Williams, the courtesy runner for Lowitt, would steal 2nd to get into scoring position.

Matthew Davis, would then get hit by a pitch to put runners at 1st and 2nd. Williams and Davis, would then pull off a double steal to put runners at 2nd and 3rd. The Knights, would get out of the first with a fly out to center. Heading to the bottom of the frame, Pickens led Johnson, 2-0. In the bottom of the first, Dragons starter Jackson Nunn, picked up a pair of strikeouts and a line out to send it to the second with the Dragons leading the Knights, 2-0.

Sam Hammontree, would lead off the top of the second with a double. An infield single by Jennings Allen, would put runners at the corners with nobody out. Allen, would then steal 2nd to advance into scoring position. A.J. Rice, would drive in both Hammontree and Allen with a 2-RBI single to make it 4-0. Rice, would advance into scoring position by stealing 2nd.

Starks, would bring in Rice with an RBI double to make it 5-0. Starks, would then steal 3rd. An RBI ground out by Jenkins, would make it 6-0 Dragons heading to the bottom of the second. In the bottom of the inning, Nunn, picked up his 3rd strikeout, a fly out, and a ground out to send it to the third with the Dragons ahead, 6-0.

Davis, would lead off the top of the third with a single. He would then steal 2nd to get into scoring position. Dawson Holland, would then reach on a fielder’s choice as Davis would be forced out at 3rd. After Holland stole 2nd to get into scoring position, Hammontree, would draw a walk to put runners at 1st and 2nd with 1-out. A wild pitch, would advance Holland and Hammontree up a base.

Allen, would then draw a walk to load the bases with 1-put. Chase Hulsey, who came on to pitch hit for Rice, would drive in Holland with an RBI single to make it 7-0. Zach Williams, would then be hit with a pitch as Hammontree would come in to score. A double by Cade Sutton, would bring in both Allen and Hulsey to make it 10-0. Jenkins, would then drive in Williams with an RBI single to make it 11-0.

After Lowit drew a walk to load the bases, Davis, would drive in Sutton and Jenkins with a 2-RBI single to make it 13-0. After a strikeout, courtesy runner Daven Abernathy, would come in to score on a wild pitch to make it 14-0. Davis, would move up to 3rd on the play. Caden Kirchoff, would keep the inning going with a walk. Coleman Keener, would drive in Davis with an RBI single to make it 15-0.

Hulsey, would draw a walk to load the bases. Williams, would follow that by drawing a walk to bring in Kirchoff to make it 16-0. Keener, would then come in to score on a wild pitch to make it 17-0 Dragons heading to the bottom of the third. Ezra Faber, would come on in relief of Nunn in the bottom of the third. After a pair of strikeouts, Joe Sanchez, would reach base on an error. Sanchez, would then advance to 2nd on a wild pitch.

Faber, would shake that off to pick up his 3rd strikeout of the inning to seal the 17-0 win for the Dragons.

Jasper, Ga — It was a beautiful day at the ball field as the Pickens Dragons took on the Johnson Knights of Gainesville in game one of their three game set on Tuesday, March 25th. The Dragons, were coming off of a big series win against Lumpkin last week. The Knights, haven’t had the best of seasons, but were looking to possibly spoil a season as we head towards the playoffs. The Dragons, got things going early and took home the win, 15-0 in three innings.

In the top of the first, Payton Rose, would get things started for the Knights by getting hit with a pitch. Dragons starter A.J. Rice, would bounce back with a strikeout. Kam Jenkins, would then throw out Rose trying to steal 2nd. Rice, would pick up another strikeout to send it to the bottom of the first. In the bottom half of the frame, Christian Starks, would reach on a two base error with 1-out.

Starks, would then steal 3rd. Starks, would then come in on a wild pitch to make it 1-0 Dragons. A pair of 2-out walks drawn by Jenkins and Dawson Lowit, would put runners at 1st and 2nd. An RBI single by Matthew Davis, would bring in courtesy runner Daven Abernathy to make it 2-0. Davis, would then steal 2nd to put runners at 2nd and 3rd with 2-out. An RBI single by Dawson Holland, would bring in Lowit to make it 3-0 Dragons heading to the second.

In the top of the second, Rice, would pick up two more strikeouts and a ground out in a scoreless inning. In the bottom of the second, Jennings Allen, would lead off with a double. Rice, would follow with a single to put runners at 1st and 3rd. Allen, would come in to score on a wild pitch to make it 4-0. Rice, would steal 2nd and advance to 3rd on the wild pitch. Starks, would bring in Rice with an RBI single to make it 5-0.

Starks, would then steal 2nd to advance into scoring position. After a ground out, Jenkins, would drive in Starks to make it 6-0. Lowit, would add on to the lead with a 2-run home run to make it 8-0. Davis, would keep the inning going with a triple. He would then come in to score on a wild pitch to make it 9-0 Dragons. After back to back walks from Holland and Sam Hammontree, Allen, would load the bases with a single.

Rice, would help himself out by clearing the bases with a 3-RBI triple to make it 12-0. Starks, would bring in Rice with an RBI single to make it 13-0. Starks, would advance to 2nd after an error on the play. Chase Hulsey, would come on to pitch hit for Cade Sutton. Hulsey, would reach base after being hit with a pitch. The Knights, would finally get out of the second with a ground out and a fly out. Heading to the third, the Dragons led the Knights, 13-0.

In the top of the third, Daven Abernathy, would come on in relief of Rice. After a strikeout, Felipi Delgado, would reach base after drawing a walk. Alex Alvarez, would then be hit by a pitch to put runners at 1st and 2nd with 1-out. Delgado and Alvarez, would then move up a base after a wild pitch. Abernathy, would settle in to pick up a strikeout and a ground out to keep the Knights scoreless and send it to the bottom of the third with the Dragons leading, 15-0.

In the bottom of the third, Caden Kirchoff, would draw a lead off walk to reach base. Kirchoff, would then advance to 2nd on a wild pitch. After a strikeout, Kirchoff, would then move up to 3rd on another wild pitch. Ezra Faber, would draw a walk to put runners at 1st and 3rd with 1-out. Kirchoff, would come in to score on a wild pitch to make it 14-0. Coleman Keener, would reach on an error by the second baseman.

Abernathy, would then be hit with a pitch to load the bases. J. Walker, would bring in Faber on a fielder’s choice to seal the win for the Dragons, 15-0.

Dragons to face Trojans in 6-AAA Semifinals

Jasper, Ga — The boys side of the 6-AAA Region Tournament began on Wednesday, February 12th as teams were looking to punch their ticket officially to the AAA State Tournament. Earlier games during the day saw North Hall defeat Dawson, Lumpkin defeat White County, and GAC defeat Chestatee. Pickens, the hosting school, took on the Johnson Knights. The Dragons, would pick up a 67-47 win to advance to the Semifinals.

The first quarter saw Dodge Davis takeover early as he would score 15 points in the frame. His brother Parker, would chip in 5 points and McCord Purdy would add a layup. The Knights, would look to gain some momentum as the quarter came to an end. Heading to the second quarter, the Dragons led the Knights, 22-8.

The second quarter was a nice back and forth as the Dragons just did outscore the Knights, 18-13 in the quarter. Parker Davis and Purdy, paced the scoring for the Dragons with 6 points a piece. Jamin Martin would add 3 points, and Dodge Davis and Caleb Lanford would each score 2 points. Heading into half time, the Dragons led the Knights, 40-21.

The third quarter saw the Dragons spread out the scoring a bit. Lanford, would lead the way with a pair of threes. Brock Barton and Martin would both add a three, Dodge Davis would get a bucket and a free throw, Purdy and DJ Mitchell would both make layups, and Parker Davis would make a pair of free throws. The Dragons, outscored the Knights, 21-11 in the third to take a 61-32 lead into the fourth.

For the Knights, the fourth quarter was their best offensively as they would outscore the Dragons 15-6 in the frame. Martin, would score all 6 points in the quarter for the Dragons. The Knights, were led by Cruz Gobert and Monty Young. The Dragons, would come away with the win, 67-47.

The Dragons, will now shift their focus to Friday, February 14th as they will take on the Trojans of North Hall in a 6-AAA Region Tournament Semifinal game. The winner, will advance to the Championship game on Saturday, February 15th, where they will take on the winner of the GAC vs Lumpkin game. Tip off for the game against the Trojans is set for 8:30 pm.

Dragons finish regular season undefeated

Jasper, Ga — On Friday, February 7th, the Pickens Dragons, had a chance to do something no other Dragon team had done before them. Finish the regular season undefeated. They would accomplish that goal, if they defeated the Dawson Tigers. The Dragons, came into the game 24-0 overall and 13-0 in 6-AAA play. The Tigers, came into the game 8-16 overall and 5-8 in 6-AAA play. The Dragons, behind a big run to begin the game, picked up the win, 92-52.

The Dragons, would start off fast in the first quarter as they opened up the game with a 14-0 run. Dodge Davis, Brock Barton, Caleb Lanford, and Parker Davis all contributed to the run. After Mason Harvey split a pair of free throws, Dodge Davis, would hit a three to make it 17-1. Samuel Glover, would then go on a 5-0 run to make it 17-6. Lanford, would respond with a 5-0 run of his own to stretch the lead out to 22-6.

After both teams would trade baskets, Barton and Jamin Martin, would end the first quarter with a 7-0 run to make it 31-10 heading to the second quarter.

The Tigers, would begin the second quarter by going on a 7-0 run to cut the lead down to 31-17. Jack Ledbetter, Landon Lee, and Gunnar Weaver would combine for the run. The Dragons, would counter with their own 7-0 run as Martin, Lanford, and Aiden Mumaw would help stretch the lead out to 38-17. Ledbetter and Garrett Matthews, would then go on a short 4-0 run to make it 38-21.

The remainder of the first half saw the Tigers outscore the Dragons, 9-8 as Pickens would take a 46-30 lead into the break.

The Dragons, would start the second half by going on a mini 4-0 as McCord Purdy made a pair of free throws and Parker Davis would make a layup to give Pickens a 50-30 lead. After Cayson Chester split a pair of free throws, Dodge Davis and Purdy would make back to back baskets to make it 54-31. Later on in the quarter, the Dragons, would go on another 14-0 run to make it 70-35. A bucket by Jed Morris, would end the run and make it 70-37.

The Dragons, would close out the third quarter on a 7-2 run to make it 77-39 heading to the fourth quarter.

Dodge Davis, would open the fourth quarter with a three to make it 80-39. After Chester made a pair of free throws, the Dragons, would go on a 5-0 run to make it 85-41. After both teams traded 4-0 runs, the Tigers, would combine for a 7-0 run to make it 89-52. A late three by Brody Bryant, would give the Dragons a 92-52 lead. The Dragons, would run out the rest of the clock as they made history finishing the regular season 25-0.

Dragons improve to 24-0 with win on Senior Night

Jasper, Ga — It was a night of celebration on Tueday, February 4th as the Pickens Dragons took on the Johnson Knights on Senior Night. Prior to the game, Seniors from swim, dance, cheer, and basketball were all recognized. The Dragons, had four Seniors honored in Brock Barton, Dodge and Parker Davis, and Caleb and Joshua Lanford. Caleb, was then presented with a commemorative basketball to celebrate surpassing 1,000 career points. As for the game, the Dragons, picked up the 94-29 win.

To the delight of the student section, Joshua Lanford got the start alongside the other Dragon Seniors. Parker Davis, would get the scoring started after splitting a pair of free throws. After a layup by Monty Young gave the Knights a 2-1 lead, the Dragons, would go on a 12-0 run to take a 13-2 lead. A three by Richard Silva, would cut the lead to 13-5. The Dragons, would close out the first quarter with an 11-0 run to make it 24-5 heading to the second.

Dodge Davis, would get the second quarter going with a bucket to make it 26-5. After a basket by Cruz Gobert, Jamin Martin and Parker Davis, would combine for a 5-0 run to stretch the lead out to 31-7. Gobert, would end the run with another bucket to make it 31-9. A 10-0 run by the Dragons, would stretch the lead out to 41-9. A three by Maddox Whitmire, would end the run and cut the lead to 41-12.

After Dodge Davis would make a pair of free throws, Jeremiah Gray, would get the lay up to go to make it 43-14. Parker Davis and DJ Mitchell, would end the first half with a 5-0 run as the Dragons led the Knights, 48-14 at the break.

Barton, would open the second half with a three to make it 51-14. Braydon Black, would then answer with a three on the other end. A 10-0 run by the Dragons would stretch the lead to 61-17. Whitmire, would then hit his second three of the game to put an end to the run. the Dragons, would close out the third quarter by going on a 14-0 run to make it 75-20 going to the fourth.

The Dragons, would continue the run from the end of the third quarter to begin the fourth as they scored the first 6 points of the frame. Young, would then split a pair of free throws and then hit a three to make it 81-24. Montego Morgan and Martin, would then make back to back threes to make it 87-24. After another three by Young, Mitchell, would hit his second three of the game to make it 90-27.

After a lay-in from Josh Smith, Morgan and Mitchell, would end the game on a 4-0 run as the Dragons came away with the win, 94-29.

With the final regular season games happening on Friday, February 7th, it appears the only thing left to figure out, is who will be the #2 and #3 seed in next week’s 6-AAA region tournament. Should GAC and Lumpkin win their games on Friday, it seems like some sort of tiebreaker will be needed as both teams split their season series, and both lost to Pickens. As for the Dragons, they will host the Dawson Tigers on Friday at 7:30 pm.

Dragons defeat Bulldogs at Longhorn 5-Star Classic

Milton, GA — The Pickens Dragons, were selected to take part in a showcase called the Longhorn 5-Star Classic on Saturday, February 1st. There were teams from Georgia, North Carolina, Illinois, and New York in this showcase. The Dragons, were paired up with fellow Georgia team, the North Gwinnett Bulldogs. The Dragons, came into the game with an overall record of 22-0. The Bulldogs, came into the game with a record of 6-17. The Dragons, had three score in double figures as they defeated the Bulldogs, 75-46.

Much like their game on Friday night, the Dragons started quickly after the opening tip as McCord Purdy found Dodge Davis for the three. It was the Davis brothers show early on as they would combine for the first 12 points of the game. Purdy, would join in with a layup to make it 14-0. Max Patterson, would put an end to the run with a layup to make it 14-2.

Brock Barton and Parker Davis, would then combine for a 5-0 run to make it 19-2. After Patterson split a pair of free throws, Caleb Lanford, would be on the receiving end of a nice pass from Purdy for the open layup to make it 21-3. A bucket by Patterson, would make it 21-5. The Dragons, would close the first quarter on a 5-0 run as they would lead the Bulldogs, 26-5 heading to the second quarter.

Parker Davis, would begin the second quarter with a basket to make it 28-5. A layup from Micah Jones, would cut the lead to 28-7. Lanford and Jones, would then trade three point buckets as the Dragons led it, 31-10. The Dragons, would then go on a 15-0 run including hitting three straight threes to stretch the lead out to 46-10. Joseph Young, would close out the first half scoring with a layup as the Dragons would go into the half with a 46-12 advantage.

Lanford and Purdy, would start the second half by making back to back baskets to make it 50-12. The Bulldogs, would then go on a 5-0 run as Young would make another layup, and Chauncey Davis Jr, would hit the teams first three to make it 50-17. After a layup by Parker Davis, the Bulldogs, would go on another 5-0 run as Patterson would make a layup and JJ Gallagher would hit a three to make it 52-22.

Jamin Martin, would get in on the action with a basket to make it 54-22. Patterson and Young, would then make back to back layups to cut the lead down to 54-26. Parker Davis, would then make back to back layups to stretch the lead back out to 58-26. Both teams, would trade buckets the rest of the third quarter as the Dragons led it, 61-28 heading to the fourth.

Jeremy Adeosun, would drive in for the layup to begin the fourth quarter scoring. After Parker Davis responded with a layup of his own, Adeosun, would split a pair of free throws to make it 63-31. Dodge Davis, would split a pair of free throws as well as the Dragons led it, 64-31. After Camron Milom made a layup, Aiden Mumaw would make a pair of free throws to give the Dragons a 66-33 lead.

Gallagher, would hit his second three of the game to make it 66-36. Mumaw, would then find an open Montego Morgan for the jumper to make it 68-36. That would start what would become a 7-0 run as the Dragons extended their lead to 73-36. The Bulldogs, would counter with a 10-0 run to make it 73-46. Martin, would get collect a late offensive rebound for the put back as the Dragons picked up the win, 75-46.

With the win, the Dragons improve to 23-0. They have two more regular season games left before the region tournament. First up, a match up against the Johnson-Gainesville Knights on Tuesday, February 4th. It will be Senior Night. Tip off is set for 7:30 pm.

Dragons continue winning ways; now 14-0

Jasper, Ga — The Pickens Dragons, were finally back on their home court on Saturday, January 4th as they took on the Coahulla Creek Colts in non-region action. After a big win on the road at White County the night before, the Dragons, came into the game at 13-0 overall and 4-0 in 6-AAA. The Colts, came into the game at 11-2 overall and 5-1 in 7-AA. The Dragons, kept their win streak in tact as they picked up the 78-39 victory.

Parker Davis, got the scoring started with a layup to make it 2-0 Dragons. A three pointer by Carter Quarles, would put the Colts ahead by one. Another bucket by Parker Davis, would give the Dragons the lead back. A 5-0 run by the Colts, led by Cullen Marti and Quarles, would give the Colts an 8-4 lead. A three pointer by Caleb Lanford, would cut the lead down to one. A pair of free throws by Waelyn Baliles, would stretch the lead back to three.

The Dragons, led by a combined 7-0 run from Parker Davis and Lanford, would reclaim the lead, 14-10. After a basket by Baliles, Lanford and Dodge Davis would hit back to back threes to make it 20-12. Gage Voyles, would cut the lead down to 5 after he made a layup and converted the and-1. After Lanford would split a pair of free throws, Marti, would connect on a three pointer to make it 21-18.

Parker Davis, would stretch the lead back to 5 after hitting a pair of free throws. After a tough bucket by Voyles, Parker Davis, would close out the quarter with a basket to make it 25-20 Dragons heading to the second.

Voyles, would begin the second quarter with another lay in to make it 25-22. Dodge Davis and Brock Barton, would then combine for an 8-0 run to make it 33-22. A bucket by Baliles, would put an end to the run and cut the lead down to 33-24. The Dragons, would respond with another 8-0 run to make it 41-24. A late three pointer by Brody Bartlett, would cut the lead to 41-27 at the break.

The Dragons, would start the second half using a 5-0 combined run from Barton and Dodge Davis to stretch the lead out to 46-27. A three pointer by Quarles, would put an end to the run, and make it 46-30. A 6-0 run by the Dragons would make it 52-30. After a basket from Voyles, the Dragons, would go on a 12-0 run to balloon the lead out to 64-32. Both teams would end the third quarter by trading buckets as the Dragons took a 69-36 lead into the fourth.

Dodge Davis and Montego Morgan, would begin a shortened fourth quarter by combining to go on a 6-0 run to make it 75-36. Both teams, would then trade three point makes as the Dragons would come away with the 78-39 win over the Colts.

Dragons fall short against War Eagles

Gainesville — The temperatures were finally dipping down into “football weather” as the Pickens Dragons traveled to Gainesville to take on the Chestatee War Eagles. The Dragons and War Eagles, were facing off for the first time in football since 2009. The War Eagles, came in riding a two game win streak in the series, and were coming off a big win over Johnson last week. The Dragons, looked to end their three game road trip on a high note after a tough loss to North Hall two weeks ago.

The War Eagles, would use their triple option offense to pull away and pick up the win, 37-14.

The Dragons would win the toss, and elect to receive the opening kickoff. On the first play from scrimmage, the War Eagles would tip and intercept the pass. Chestatee, would turn that into points as they scored a 23-yd TD run. The PAT was good and with 10:47 left in the first quarter, the War Eagles led the Dragons, 7-0. Later on in the first quarter, the War Eagles added to their lead with a 19-yd TD run. Going to the second quarter, Chestatee led it, 13-0.

Both teams would go back and forth in the second quarter as points were hard to come by. The War Eagles, would connect on a field goal as time expired in the quarter to take a 16-0 lead over the Dragons at the half.

Dragons on offense in the 2nd quarter

The second half would begin with the War Eagles adding to their lead with a 10-yd TD run. With 7:08 left in the third quarter, Chestatee led Pickens, 23-0. The Dragons, would get on the board after a 28-yd TD pass from Hayden Jones to McCord Purdy. The PAT by Purdy was good, and with 3:33 left in the third, the War Eagles led the Dragons, 23-7. The War Eagles, would respond with a 2-yd TD run to make it 30-7 going to the fourth quarter.

Dragons looking to stop the run in the 3rd quarter

The War Eagles, would add a 2-yd TD run at the 5:26 mark to make it 37-7. The Dragons, would add a second score as Jones would connect with Carson Mitton in the corner of the end zone for a 5-yd TD to make it 37-14. The War Eagles, would run out the rest of the clock as they would get the win, 37-14.
