Eugene Talmadge Brooks, age 82, of Jasper, passed away Saturday, November 2, 2019 at his home. He was born March 13, 1937 to Ben and Mandy Brooks in Jasper.

He was preceded in death by his wife Christine Brooks. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and Roger McBrayer of Cullman, AL; daughter and son-in-law, Glenda and Troy Southerland of Jasper; daughter, Brenda Lee Brooks of Woodstock; daughter, Tonya Jump of Jasper; daughter and son-in- law, Lynn and Scotty Young of Woodstock; brother, Ernest Brooks of Yellow Creek; sisters, Marie Fountain of Canton, Opalene Parton of Cumming; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Marvin and Irene Wofford of Ellijay, Roy Roberts of Little Rock, Arkansas, Frances Brooks of Canton; twelve grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Funeral Services will be held 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with Reverend Danny Townsend officiating. Interment will follow in Lake Forest Memorial Park at 280 Camp Road; Jasper, GA 30143.

The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home, Monday, November 4, 2019 from 12:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday, November 5, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
