Mr. Johnny Garrett Jr., age 27 of Ellijay, passed away Monday, November 18, 2019 at his home.

Mr. Garrett is survived by his Wife: Heather Garrett of Ellijay; Parents: (Father) Johnny Sr. & Ashley Garrett of Ellijay and (Mother) Stacy & Mitchell Gooch of Ellijay; Grandmothers: Cheryl Sergent of Ellijay and Diana Nelson of Ellijay; Sons: Jaxon Garrett and Kyle Southern, both of Ellijay; Daughters: Jordyn Garrett, Jadyn Garrett, Jynna Garrett and River Garrett, all of Ellijay; Brothers: Cody Garrett of Ellijay and Dylan Darby of Waleska; Sisters: Hope Laukka of Ellijay, Angel Garrett of Ellijay and Katie Lacy of Canton. Several Aunts, Uncles, Nieces and Nephews also survive.

Johnny was preceded in death by his Son: Declan Garrett.

Visitation is Tuesday, November 19, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM, Wednesday, November 20, from 8:00 AM until 9:00 PM and Thursday, November 21, 8:00 AM until the funeral hour.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, November 21, 2019 at the Chapel of Cagle Funeral Home, with Rev Mike Loner officiating.

Interment will be at Sunrise Memorial Gardens immediately following the funeral service.

Ms. Stephens is survived by her Son & Daughter-in-Law: Darrell & Kathy Stephens of Florida; Daughters & Sons-in-Law: Nancy Jane Manning & Gary Zvodar of Carrollton, Sue Ellen & Ron Pierson of San Antonio, TX and Diane & Lamar Walker of Jasper; eight Grandchildren; eleven Great-Grandchildren; several Nieces and Nephews.

Ms. Stephens is preceded in death by her Son: Norman Donald Stephens.

A graveside service will be held Friday, November 22, 2019 at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. The time will be announced soon.

Mrs. Willie Grace Brooks, age 89 of Marble Hill, passed away Monday November 18, 2019 at Wildwood Health Care.

Mrs. Brooks is survived by her Sons & Daughters-in-Law: Randall & Juanita Brooks of Marble Hill, Ronnie & Paula Brooks of Cumming and Bobby & Debbie Brooks of Ball Ground; Daughters & Sons-in-Law: Kathy & Gary Evans of Marble Hill and Evelyn & Tony West of Cumming; Daughter-in-Law: Dale Brooks of Marble Hill; thirteen Grandchildren; fourteen Great-Grandchildren; one Great-Great-Grandchild.

Mrs. Brooks is preceded in death by her Husband: Hoyt Brooks, Son: Eddie Brooks and Grandson: Brian Evans.

Visitation is Tuesday, November 19, from 4:00 PM until 10:00 PM and Wednesday, November 20, from 8:00 AM until the funeral hour.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at Corinth Baptist Church, with Rev. Richie Gibbs and Rev. Huey Holloway officiating.

Interment will be at the church cemetery, following the funeral service.

The family will accept flowers, but prefer donations to Corinth Baptist Church Christmas Fund.

Larry Ronald Gartrell: Obituary

Larry Ronald Gartrell, age 73 of Rockmart, Georgia passed away Monday, November 11, 2019 at WellStar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta. He was born April 9, 1946 to Edwin Daly and Mary Marcille Gartrell in Ellijay, Georgia. He was saved and joined Whitestone Baptist Church in August, 1958. He attended Gilmer County Schools and was STAR Student of Gilmer High School in 1964 and an Honor Graduate of Gilmer High School Class of 1964. He received a BA from West Georgia College in 1969 and then proudly served in the United States Army in the 197th Artillery Brigade from 1970 until 1972. He then served in the United States Army Reserve from 1972 until 1978. He retired from the United States Postal Service after 38 years of service.

Larry is survived by his children, Tommy and Andrea Gartrell of Jasper, Stephanie Marie and Bill DeArmon of Rockmart; brother, Tim Gartrell of Jasper; sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Joe B. Jones of Jasper; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews and other relatives.

The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home Monday, November 18, 2019 from 12:00 noon until 9:00 p.m.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Staff of Roper Funeral Home and Crematory.

Linda “June” Wilkins, age 69, of Talking Rock, passed away Saturday, November 16, 2019 at Northside Hospital Cherokee. June was born June 2, 1950 in Habersham County to T.R. and Bennie Mae Whitey.

June is survived by her husband, Charles Wilkins of Talking Rock; children, Scotty Wilkins (Joan) of Talking Rock, Tina Dean (Scott Fowler) of Talking Rock, Amy Cannady (Casey) of Talking Rock; brothers and sisters, Herbert Whitey (Shirley) of Gainesville, Jimmy Whitey (Erma) of Dawsonville, Jean Sheriff (Weldon) of Dawsonville, Ann Wehunt (Jimmy) Dahlonega, Jane Karnes (Wayne) of Gainesville, Judy Tyner of Gainesville, Rose Sosebee (Ronald) of Gainesville; grandchildren, Jay Dean (Maggie), Tatem Dean (Taylor), Syndel Johnson (Tyler), Colton Wilkins (Rianna), Bryce Wilkins, Bailey Cannady, Aspen Edwards; great-grandchildren, MaKenzi Johnson, Madaleigh Johnson, Jeremiah Johnson, Jesse James Dean, Waylon Wilkins, Weston Wilkins, Charlie Dean, and on the way Carly Jo Wilkins; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by parents, T.R. and Bennie Mae Whitey; brother Winston Whitey; sister, Edna Simmons.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at Mill Creek Baptist Church in Lumpkin County with Reverend Rodney Pilcher, Reverend Tim Pruitt, Reverend Jimmy Wehunt officiating. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Jasper.

The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Monday from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.

Reverend Edwin Jean Weaver, age 79 of Jasper, passed away Friday, November 15, 2019 at his home surrounded by family and friends. He was born July 20, 1940 to Reverend Frank and Claudine Weaver in Ellijay, Georgia.

Edwin is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Barry and Cindy Weaver of Canton; daughters and sons-in-law, Tina and Dennis Sutton of Pinelog, Teresa and Phil Mullinax of Jasper; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Johnnie Weaver and his sister, Shirley Dilbeck.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Sunday, November 17, 2019 at the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with Reverend David Abernathy, Reverend Jeremy Mullinax, Reverend Thomas Wheeler, Reverend Bobby McFarland, and Reverend Daryl Bailey officiating. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Paul Poole, Ryan Abernathy, Bradley Fitzgerald, Ronnie Weaver, Adam Parker, and Scott Dilbeck.

The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home Saturday, November 16, 2019 from 12:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Sunday, November 17 from 9:00 a.m. until 1:45 p.m.

Mr. Boltz is survived by his Brother: Larry Boltz of Toledo, Ohio; Brothers & Sisters-in-Law: Rev. Joe & Shirley Fountain of Calhoun, Jimmy & Bernice Fountain of Jasper, Junior & Jean Carver of Jasper, Paul & Frances Millsap of Jasper. Several beloved Nieces, Nephews, Great-Nieces and Great-Nephews also survive.

Mr. Boltz is preceded in death by his Wife: Martha Ann Fountain Boltz; Parents: Earl & Hilda Boltz; Sister: Dorothy Hughes; Brother: Robert Boltz.

Visitation is Friday, November 15, from 5:00 PM until the memorial service hour.

A Memorial Service will be held at 7:30 PM Friday, November 15, 2019 in the Chapel of Cagle Funeral Home, with Rev. Joe Fountain officiating.
