George William Starsmeare

February 11, 1945 – November 28, 2018

George William Starsmeare Jr., age 73, of Ball Ground, GA went home to his heavenly Father on Wednesday, November 28, 2018.

George is survived by his loving wife and constant companion of 52 years, Dollie Ann; his daughters and sons-in-law, Cynthia Starsmeare Lee and Randy Lee of Charlotte, NC and Andrea Lee Cote and Eric Cote of Medway, MA; his grandchildren, Alyssa Brittany Cote, Kyle Zachary Cote and Derren Starsmeare Lee; and cousin, Beverly Stickland of the UK. George was preceded in death by his parents, George and Betty Starsmeare, Sr. and aunt, Marjorie Starsmeare Stickland of the UK.

George loved spending time with his family and friends; loved the water and boating, woodworking and watching football – especially his beloved NY Giants. George is a member of the United Methodist church and has served as the worship leader, Sunday School leader and sang for many years southern gospel revival concerts with his wife Dollie. George worked as a National Accounts Manager at W.R. Grace for 25 years, where he was a great leader and invested in the careers of those who worked with him. He also worked at Sherwin Williams for 10 years and is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He is a founding member of the Etowah River Woodturners Club.

Services will be December 8, 2018, 11:00 a.m. at Roper Funeral Home and Crematory. A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be planned for the spring 2019 in Hollywood, MD.
